"Also, da wir jedes Jahr durch Schottland reisen und viele alte und neue Hotels probieren, war das hier definitiv das Schlechteste, was wir besucht haben. Der Bauzustand ist ok, es ist ei altes Landhsus, das gebaut werden muss ist klar und kein Kritikpunkt. Allerdings die Bewertungen hier stimmen überhaupt nicht. "We felt right at home from the moment we met Freda outside her lovely B&B. Our room was clean and cool, bathroom was very nice as well. Big TV and coffee & Tea on our table. The house itself is very charming and historic. The next day we were greeted by a hearty and delicious homemade breakfast by Freda, we even got to meet Gypsy! Her sweet doggie. We loved our short time in Dumfries, I hope we make our way back there again. We will definitely be staying at the Huntigdon once more"

"Aberdour is a lovely little old gem in an idyllic neighborhood, close to the train station. It’s run by the inimitable Amanda, who is the best host I’ve ever met. The place is older, and a bit frayed- but in the way the Velveteen Rabbit is frayed.
