Amazing place that welcomed us with a kind smile. The historic castle, renovated in every detail, surprised us with cleanliness, excellent food, quality sauna world, swimming pool. The rooms were comfortably furnished with preserved historical details.

Super hotel, very quiet and comfortable, super clean and well maintenenced. Interior is incedible! Definatley we would stay here again. Staff was super nice and helpful. Pool and sauna area value for money, good for relax. Breakfast also super. Thank you!

Beautiful hotel!

The hotel is stunning and has very few things to point out. The service was excellent, breakfast on offer way above average continental. The rooms are comfortable, spacious and provided loccitane toiletries were a nice surprise. We were perhaps unlucky as the room/mezonet above our room had noisy guests and creaking floorboards which kept us up most night. We enjoyed the pool one evening, which was also lovely.

Favourite when in Zilina

Nice atmosphere, nice and modern interior albeit in a thoughtful traditional way. Only thing that I and my colleagues whom also stayed think that needs to be improved is the ventilation of the rooms, it needs AC system. In summer it gets pretty “hot” in the rooms. Also I can’t remember seeing any info on booking site about my room having a very steep staircase. OK for me but not if you are having mobility issues.

Amazing Hotel Château near Zilina

Very nice stay at Hotel Château Gbel'any. Hotel Château refurbished with taste. Nice, spacious and clean Maisonette room. Good wellness & spa facilities (not big). We also had dinner at the restaurant and food was really good. Excellent value for money.We recommend it!

I dont mind to book it again... with breakfast:-)

Hotel is really nice, room are different than most of other hotels but i have to say they are unique. Food what we ordered for the dinner was fabulous and I strongly recommend it. The only issue we faced was that i was making booking via Hotels.com with Breakfast buffer included. Hotel was not informed about breakfast part of the package. After clarification at reception they confirmed to add it on. As we were leaving before Bfast open, they promised to prepare breakfast packages for us with water, some snacks, croissant, etc. Unfortunately, next morning nothing was prepared as another receptionist didnt know about it at all. He also didnt arrange anything for us with comment that we need to wait for Breakfast when its open, which we couldn't as we had to get going on the road. Without breakfast or any water... but overall i dont mind to book it again.

Good hotel but unfriendly restaurant staff

This time we tried the Chateau Gbelany during our stay in Zilin. The building is beautiful, the hotel area is very clean and rooms are very spacious. Check-in was quite quick and the bathroom-products of high quality (L'Occitane). We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant and were shocked by the unfriendly staff & service level provided. Besides frequently hearing that the restaurant would close the kitchen in 5 minutes - at 20:30 - (not willing to wait for guests to decide on the menu), we never saw any employees in the restaurants smiling, talking in a friendly tone with guests or asking if more drinks would have been welcome. Instead of this, the music was turned off, lights were switched off and staff went home while we were still having dinner. I never experienced something like this before and would not be able to recommend anyone to have dinner at Hotel Chateau Gbelany. All other places have better service and food - unfortunately (due to many international companies around) - was too overpriced. Even higher than in Vienna/Munich downtown area.

A comfy stay with a great spa

We had a very pleasant stay. The mezonet room was spacious with a well equipped minibar. Billiard was good fun even though you pay a little extra for it. My husband enjoyed 2 massages and we visited spa for a couple of hours - the outdoor jaccuzi was awesome even though you will only fit 2-3 people in, so make sure to avoid peak hours. The food was also great, breakfast as well as dinner. Overall, we can highly recommend this hotel if you want to chill for a couple of days.

Ce château a été entièrement reconstruit avec goût et les chambres sont joliment décorées. Chambre avec poutre apparente au deuxième étage. Pour accéder à l’ascenseur, il faut monter et descendre un petit escalier, pas très pratique avec une valise et surtout pas bien pensé. Vers 5 heures du matin, j’ai entendu un bruit bizarre et c’était une souris qui était en train de s’attaquer sur le bureau au sachet plastique du petit gâteau offert par l’hôtel. Inutile de vous dire qu’après son départ je n’ai pas fermé l’œil. Enfin, le petit déjeuner était très moyen pour un hôtel de ce standing : pas de toaster, pas de viennoiseries, charcuteries industrielles et ...une serveuse qui retire votre plat avant que vous ayez fini de manger. J’aurais dû demander le remboursement de la chambre en dédommagement de cette très mauvaise expérience
