I enjoyed everything about it especially the staff, they were nothing but nice and attentive. I think this place made me fall in love with Sairgao, it was away from all the tourist spots and the scooter rental was done on site! I miss it already. Shot out to Aya (and the front desk Gentleman)! Their kindness and service was amazing!

Even though the property has its share of being ran down over the years, it was clean and comfortable enough, with nice pool and strong water pressure for showering. The staff were extremely nice and accommodating. The owners (Jason & wife) were courteous and friendly, as they introduced themselves and gave us a background on how their resort business started. Remember, you will not be in a five star hotel, but you should just make the best of it. I still recommend this place for adventurers.

Pool was very nice! Room and facilities very outdated. Food was terrible!! Ordered eggs Benedict and got poached egg on rock hard toast smothered in mayonnaise. Very overpriced for conditions of property. Didn’t even have bartender for mixed drinks… so shots only. Dining area was nice but food wasn’t edible.

Quiet peaceful place to walk about the tidal pools, enjoy the sunsets and have a reset. Gracious host who treated us with unexpected culinary delights. Wonderful staff, kind and welcoming. Great base from which to explore the island.

This property is a beautiful, green, peaceful getaway from General Luna and Cloud 9, but still within easy travel distance to both destinations. The beachfront is very nice with a lovely, long walkable beach and swimmable water at high tide. The outdoor pool onsite is crystal clear, clean and beautiful. This was a very relaxing resort with spacious rooms, dining and outdoor areas. Thank you, Jason and staff, for a lovely stay. We hope to be back soon!

Nice resort but needs more work

We were pleasantly surprised with the size and cleanliness of the room; really spacious and comfortable. In additional the staff were very helpful when we asked for additional services (motorbike rent, transport to airport etc). The beach front is really pretty and the communal areas/gardens are well looked after. Some of the areas of the resort are still under construction which meant that there was noise from the builders starting early in the day. There is also potential for a better breakfast; currently, the resort serves rice, fried egg and meat plus additional fruit upon request (a bigger selection consisting of pancakes, granola etc would be nicer but suspect this is because the kitchen is still being built).

8 nights stay at Retreat Siargao

We had an enjoyable experience here. The staff and owner were very friendly and professional. It is an excellent location, good view of the ocean from the suites windows and balcony/patios. The ocean is nice to swim in here. The pool is refreshing, clean, not much chemicals (if any). The suites are clean, large, comfortable, well appointed and well maintained. In the suite is a large fridge, real ground (not instant) coffee & coffee maker, full size water cooler/dispenser, smart TV (with Netflix or whatever else), strong wifi, great air con (x2), comfy beds and linens. The food in the restaurant (including breakfast each morning) was delicious, with large portions at a great price. The Korean food is so good, but also the international and Filipino offerings. The staff constantly gave us complementary dishes and side dishes; they made us feel like VIP guests every day. We will stay here again, as it is perhaps the Most well rounded, nicest place we have stayed in the Philippines. This place is better than most 5 star resorts, as they really care about the guests and do not nickel and dime guests.

Quiet and beautiful stay

The resort is very peaceful and the owners and staff are very accommodating and nice. The room is very large and spacious. Nice large TV in the living room area with a comfortable couch. Beds are decently comfortable. This place is away from the main city which is why I choice this place. It is a short ride to town..50-100 pesos depending on who picks u up lol. Some issues I had here were there were several ants. Some stains on the sheets. The water pressure reduced severely as the days passed and the hot water stopped working. I was taking cold showers my last two days. They could not fix the problem although they seemed to try. Would have been nice if they offered a solution other then going to a different to take a shower which I didn’t do. Also, no activities were offered for solo traveler. Would have been nice if they had some equipment rentals. Overall a decent stay. I don’t think it’s a place worth 100 usd a night.

The Hotel Retreat Siargao Resort is an excellent location for all the people who wanted to visit Siargao. Jason Ha and the wife Reni is an excellent host. They will provide you with a bottle of red wine and a 7 course dinner on your first day in Siargao. The location is about 30 minutes from cloud 9 and from the Corgi Isla. Thank you Jason & Reni and it is well appreciated.

The staff and room were amazing, topped off hy the amazing views. I personally am not a hige fan of korean food, so i was not able to order much from the restaurant menu during my stay. However that does not take away from the amazing view and very accommodating wait staff.

Fantastisk opphold

Flott hotell stort område innafor med grøntareal hele veien fram til sjøen på bakside. Stort basseng med nydelig temperert vann og flott lyseffekt på kvelden. Fantastisk serveringsgjeng som serverer maten . Luftig spiseområde. Blide ansatte som stiller opp . God mat . Rene store luftige rom. Det som trekker litt ned er hotellets plasseringen iforhold til nærmeste provins ( ca 10 min unna med TukTukk) men får igjen og se flotte grønne omgivelsene og kokos plantasje i nærheten her . Anbefales og prøve lokal Buko det er nydelig ren kokos jus

It Felt Like We Owned the Place!

We wanted a restful, quiet place to re-charge and we found the perfect place! Only 4 of 16 units were occupied and we saw the other vacationers only once! Even our gracious host and resort owner confirmed it himself - 'Pretend like you own the place' - he said! The lush gardens, the beach, the ocean, the pool, the spacious eating area/restaurant, and even the sunrise and sunset - they all seemed at our exclusive beck and call! Thank you to the owners and the staff at Retreat Siargao Resort for making our first trip to Siargao truly memorable. We will be back and take more friends along with us when we do!
