"Checked in on Saturday afternoon at 3:30 pm. We had to wait about 5 minutes until the desk clerk came to the counter to check us in. We were on the first floor. The A/C was on, but the room smelled musty. That was just the beginning, the carpet looked tired, stained, and worn. Even felt damp and sticky. The sofa/ bed was out of date and dark. If you removed the cushions, there were crumbs, candy papers corners so I sat on the desk chair instead, and my husband sat on the bed to watch tv. There was a piece of what looked like candy or snack food on the floor under the sink in the bathroom. As for the little Keurig type coffee maker, do not use. It was filthy. House keeping is not doing a complete job. The bed was soft, high to get into, but the pillows were too soft to sleep on. Made from chunks of foam. You have to keep adjusting the pillow to get a decent nights rest. We had their continental breakfast. Now mind you we arrived in plenty of time to get a hot breakfast before venturing out for the day. The french toast was hard as a board, the yogurt was on a serve yourself machine it was warm. Eggs were watery. My husband ended up getting sick from the breakfast.
We have decided that next time we come down to the beach to visit family, we will stay at our usual hotel and pay the extra money, for a better time, and not worry about getting sick from the food"
