Very warm welcome from the helpful receptionist, lovely big room (with very welcome air con). All the staff we met were friendly and helpful. Location close to the station but in a quiet street, with no noise worked well for us.

This is now my favourite Hotel in Ghent! It has much better rates than many other Hotels and by far the biggest rooms! It's a very elegant and beautiful place and the carpets in the room are very clean. The woman who checked me in was very friendly and during my stay Karen & Melissa were very helpful and made me feel at home!

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Carlton. Hotel is steps from the train station which was very convenient. Staff was incredibly friendly, and breakfast was great! We highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel was clean, the staff was very helpful, and the room was surprisingly large and spacious for three people. The location is also convenient if you’re arriving by train, with the train station nearby and a tram stop close to the hotel that makes it easy to get to the city center. There are two things I would note, however. First, there are limited restaurant options within easy walking distance of the hotel. More importantly, we specifically chose this hotel because we were traveling with an elderly person and needed reliable elevator access. Unfortunately, the elevator was out of service for our entire stay. Overall, we had a pleasant stay, but if you are traveling with someone who has mobility challenges or specifically need dependable elevator access, I would recommend confirming the elevator is working before booking.

Great staff at reception staff, teeny tiny elevator and stairs are even smaller and quite dark. Firm bed, large room with a view of the back neighborhood. Bathroom ok - shower in the tub thin towels, no magnifying mirror. Bottled water ( refillable) available at no charge from reception. Super close to train station!
