"Amazing staff and service made our son's birthday celebration special and was unexpected as we'd mentioned the trip was for his birthday to our butler upon arrival and he asked what our visit entailed to help with reservations or directions to anything and they sent us a small birthday cake complete with balloons and a note from the hotel, which really surprised and delighted all of us in how they'd gone above and beyond here. "Quiet location providing easy walking to most of the historic and museum sites as well as restaurants aplenty. Charleston provides a downtown area shuttle (DASH) if walking is an issue. Good included breakfast with many options. Friendly staff. The accommodations are not opulent but they're comfortable and enjoyable. The draw is the history of the building and the area. The other guests were all friendly. No one was there with a "one percenter attitude.""
