"We always stay at the Holiday Inn Golden Gateway during our SF visits. The rooms are private and offer all the various comforts/conveniences we look for in a hotel: comfortable beds, wonderful pillows (wanted to take a pillow home!), refrigerator, TV, large Dove shampo/condition/body gel dispensers in bathroom, plenty of towels, on-site parking, etc,
Good location: one of the cable car pickups is just around the corner; never any long lines to catch a cable car. Big Bus tour stops at the hotel as well. A number of good restaurants are in the area, including one in the hotel. Also, parking is not as pricey as hotel parking lots located along the wharf/Pier 39."
