This place is great. Not a chain type hotel. This is the type of hotel you think of when you want a great German vacation. A lot of personal attention located in a great spot. Don't pass up a chance to book here if you're in the area. You will not be disappointed!!

Our room was spotless, and despite our late arrival, the checkout process wasa breeze. We were particularly charmed by the hotel's decor, which evoked a lovely village and cozy atmosphere. The only minor inconvenience was the lack of air conditioning in the bathroom.

This was an absolutely charming location and place to stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and large. The staff were great! Very little English is spoken so be prepared. The hotel entrance is opposite the restaurant entrance which confused us when we tried to check in. The food is excellent!! I cannot wait to go back!!

Authentic Black Forest hotel. East to park and check in. Rooms were nice as was hostess and breakfast. Don’t go for the doner kabob place down the street they tried to scam us. No reflection on the hotel. Great people at the hotel.

We had a lovely 2 nights at this hotel. The staff were always courteous and friendly. Very clean rooms. Bathrooms a little small but usable. The breakfast and dinner at the restaurant were both fantastic. We would stay here again.

Hotel liegt zwar an der Hauptstraße im Glottertal, aber dennoch sehr ruhig. Zimmer sind sehr schön eingerichtet (modern und doch passend rustikal zum Schwarzwaldcharme), geräumig, Balkon war auch prima. Frühstück sehr angenehm, ausreichend, frisch zubereitete Eierspeisen auf Wunsch. Restaurant haben wir nicht getestet, weil wir unterwegs waren. Umgebung toll. Man ist schnell in Freiburg, aber auch an vielen anderen Ausflugszielen. Direkt vom Hotel aus kann nan ebenfalls tolle Wanderungen starten. Deshalb alles super und gerne wieder.

Sehr schön allerdings etwas alterümlilich und es war Ruhetag Im Restaurant wir waren gezwungen uns etwa anderes zum Abendessen zu suchen. Nach 6 Stunden Fahrt war dass nicht schön.

Toll geführtes historisches Hotel, mit sehr freundlichem Personal, die Betten waren sehr bequem und es war sehr sauber. Das Frühstück war hervorragend, es gab frisch zubereitete Rühr- und Spiegeleier. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und brachte auch, was wir wünschten. Auch war alles gut zu Fuß erreichbar im Untertal (Rewe z.B.) Die Zimmer waren freundlich und sauber, wenn auch mal wieder die vergilbten Gardinen gewaschen werden könnten und andere Kopfkissen, die Nackenfreundlicher, zur Verfügung gestellt werden könnten. Sonst war aber alles fine auf den Zimmern. Jedoch waren wir sehr enttäuscht vom Frühstück (kein stilles Wasser, nur Schweinefleisch, gekochtes Ei noch halb flüssig, Rüherei schmeckte mehr nach Öl als nach Ei, wir durften den Tisch nicht selbst wählen, Kaffee schmeckte gar nicht). Auch konnten wir nicht gut schlafen. Der Balkon war schön mit netter Aussicht, jedoch am späten Abend klapperte es ständig und es wurde lauter gesprochen vom Küchenpersonal. was ein und aus ging in der Nähe unseres Balkons. Nachts ging zudem ein Generator. Es war also nicht so ruhig, wie gedacht. Nichts desto trotz haben wir die Zeit sonst genossen uns sind durch die schöne Landschaft gewandert.
