"The hotel had only one flaw. The pillows were overstuffed, hard and impossible to sleep on. I slept without one on the first night then went to Target to buy a pillow. May I suggest the Goldilocks solution. Since there are 3 pillows - one should be hard, one medium and one soft. All just right for for the traveler "

"We stay in a Royal Suite with our daughter and her husband multiple times a year. It is always up to specs every time, and if there is ever a blip, the staff works diligently and quickly to fix it. We usually make use of the awesome hot tub, pool, and patio area and they never disappoint. We’ve stayed at other establishments in Shipshe but always return to Blue Gate!!"

"The location is awesome if you are going to a Morris Performing arts event or anything downtown. I imagine that’s where the price comes from. Nice hotel and amenities butt the parking ramp only accepts cars and smaller trucks. Overflow parking is onsite for bigger trucks butt not a lot of room. First come first serve. The rooms are much smaller than expected and 2 of the 3 elevators were down. Pain in the butt. Other than that not a bad hotel."

"Nice and clean place. Beds were comfy. Like the 2 sinks in the room. Breakfast could be better. The eggs were barely warm and " rubbery" ."

"Stayed 3 nights. Staff was great. Breakfast was good. Pool was hit with grandkids and loved the fact there was chlorine smell. Only downside was none to trickling water issue on the entire 4th floor. Started late Fri night and we were still without water at check out Sunday morning. Not ideal, and unfortunately hotel fully booked so unable to assign room on lower floors. And all other hotels were sold out. Staff did best they could, no fault of theirs. Plumbers couldn’t figure out problem. Other quests stated to us in conversation, they wished hotel would have informed them prior to their check-in, after problem started, and they were given 4th floor rooms. Hotel did take 1 night charge off our bill. "

"Room was clean but walls had water damage from roof leaks. Bathroom door wouldn't lock. Pool was closed, nothing on website indicating it was not open. The 50 dollar hold for incidentals seemed a little much for a lack of services. Parking is limited, we had to park in the back and walk around because room key wouldn't open door in back. No sidewalk to get you from back parking lot to front door. If you just want a place to crash for some sleep it's probably your place."
