Hotel La Quinta Inn & Suites di Government Canyon State Natural Area

"We stayed 3 nights in June. Staff was friendly and professional however the room had a stinky smell when AC was turned off. I was charged all these extra fees including a $75 charge for smoking but I DID NOT SMOKE IN THE ROOM!!!! I was penalized for something I didn’t do. They ran out of towels and laundry detergent. They offered free breakfast but guests were in the pool area late night( after midnight) making lots of noise downstairs. Overall experience I rate 3/10. Definitely not staying...

"The room has no ventilation, water stain on the ceiling, carpet is damped, the no circulation in the bathroom. Breakfast could be better. Staffs gives you the basic service without a smile. It’s less than 15 minutes from the airport."

"This is my third time stand at this hotel. The first time was great. Had a nice room great view of the tower of America. Second time OK view of the pool. I do like the location right across the street from H-E-B grocery but this day was probably my worst. "I have never written a complain about any hotel stays ever. And we had stayed there before but for the first time i think none of us had a nice stay. The sofa bed was super old and you can feel every single spring. And on the king size bed it was also an old bed. You can fell the whole from where everyone has been in that bed for years. "It was like brand new everything was very clean. The staff was real nice. The breakfast was good. Everything was good except for one exception the elevators made a loud noise, going up and down kind of scary thinking they were gonna break down. As a matter of fact, one was broken and only the other one was running the morning when we got ready to leave to go to Six Flags, the elevators were both broken. We were on the fourth floor. "The check in was ok, he didn’t make it seem inviting, just there to do his job. The room was clean but very small. The outside of the hotel seemed rough maybe power wash the outside or repaint it. We were nervous going inside but it was fine."
