"Stayed in the Superior Room, which was a good sized room overlooking Cartmel Square, ideal location. A lovely en-suite shower room, all at a high standard, and perfectly prepared for a warm welcome. We loved it and fully recommend a stay "

"It was refreshing to stay somewhere with such individuality rather than the usual chain hotels.
Beautifully furnished throughout, with fabulous attention to detail, so much to look at.
Breakfast was excellent, a good range of continental and cooked choices, with local ingredients.
Slightly outside the village, they provided a chauffeur service to and from any of the restaurants in the evening in their electric Mercedes minibus. Plenty of car parking, with five EV charging points. We had a...

"A lovely hotel. Great value. David and Geraldine are extremely kind and welcoming. Room large and clean with plenty of tea and coffee. Breakfast well cooked. Very accommodating of our bikes. A perfect hotel, thank you."

"From the first welcome to the final farewell, it was a joy to stay there. Substantive breakfasts, pet friendly, old manor house setting with great views. Good choice of relatively local (less than 10 miles) public houses for evening fare. Already hoping to get back there when next visiting the Lakes, which start only six miles north."

"This hotel is in a great location, close enough to walk to center of village but still quiet. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful and the room was clean and comfortable, with a great view of the surrounding hills.,( we had the star gazer room ) Breakfast was excellent! Highly recommend! "
