I would stay in our original accommodation but I found it small so we upgraded to a room with a king bed and fireplace. Glad we did. It was amazing. The views are fantastic on a clear day. Staff are welcoming and friendly.

Best hotel in Rutland.
Breakfast was good. Staff were good. Room was very good. Features like self-serve laundry and a pool are token amenities but appreciated. The hotel was recently renovated and it shows.
The hotel is right next to a retail plaza with a decent restaurant and big supermarket, and is very easy to drive in and out of to access the area.

This is a lovely place to stay, the breakfasts are amazing and the gardens are lovely as are the rooms. Jack and Mary Ellen are fantastic hosts and really make you welcome. Can not recommend enough!

What a wonderful hotel, of our trip to New England, this was probably our biggest (wonderful) surprise. It's just a joyous place.
The room was wonderful, the staff in the bar and restaurant were amazing and the location is just truly wonderful.
The reception staff when we checked on, were professional, but very disimterested and were more interested in themselves and their chat, but, it was a minor irritation in a wonderful stay.
The restaurant serves great food and wine too, was busy, book...

Overall a great hotel and close to town/lake, local amenities and attractions. The place has a great bar and has good amusements and amenities as well to keep you amused throughout the day if you don't go out.

My partner and I had a lovely stay at North Shire Lodge. It's close enough to Manchester centre to get some dinner but nicely situated in the countryside. Breakfast provided was great - would highly recommend.
