We arrived and were told that their computer systems were shut down and they could not check us into our rooms. But they were working on getting them back up. We sat and waited for over an hour in the lobby with two small children. It was around 9:00 PM and we finally left because they were nowhere near getting the computers to work and we had to wake up at 4:30 in the morning. Neither Holiday Inn or Expedia will refund us. We had to stay in another hotel because we had no idea how long it would take for the computers to get up and running. Austin, the front desk employee was working his hardest and was very pleasant and kind through the whole experience. But unfortunately he had no control over getting the computers up and running, he was not a manager so had no control in giving us a refund. The whole experience was very disappointing both with the hotel Holiday Inn hotel and Expedia. I asked if we could let the children go into the pool and we were not allowed to do that either as they had no way of getting us keys because again the computers were not working. Sitting in a lobby with two small children after having been in the car for almost 3 hours to get to the hotel was not pleasant. We made the choice to go somewhere else so we could sleep for a few hours before having to wake up at 4:30 am. After this experience, I will no longer be using Expedia services and I will no longer stay at a Holiday Inn.
