"We stayed two nights at Ermass Athens (family of 6), and had an excellent experience. We arrived at the hotel around 10:00 am (from a cruise) and were able to put all of our bags in a back room until check-in. From there it was a very short walk to the Omonia Metro station, where we caught the Metro into Syntagma Square. We explored Athens and then headed back around 3:00 p.m. to find that our rooms were ready. We had booked two city view apartments and each had a double bed, a futon bed, as well as a mini fridge, microwave, desk and excellent bathroom. The shower had a rainfall shower head with good water pressure. The room was clean and modern. Our interactions with the staff were all positive, whether front desk or housekeeping, everybody was friendly and helpful.
My husband spent a lot of time sitting on the rooftop, enjoying the city. Great views!
As mentioned in some other reviews, the area around the hotel is a mixture of sketchy and revitalized. We quickly learned to turn right out of the hotel and right again on 3is Septemvriou Street to reach the metro, as some of the side streets are not so clean. I never felt unsafe in the area, though we were not out after dark.
The Athens Metro is spacious and relatively clean, and easy to navigate. We purchased two 24-hour passes for our time there and were able to ride it as much as we wanted so getting anywhere from the hotel was fairly simple. Overall, a very good experience in beautiful Athens and Ermass!"
