From the day before I arrived, I tried numerous times to get in contact with this property owner to ask information about checking in and access. The contact number on Expedia was attached to a ex member of staff that left over a year ago, that this started to ring alarm bells. I was worried whether this guest house was genuine and if I would be able to get last minute hotel/ guesthouse if I couldn’t access. Luckily Expedia managed to get in contact with the owner to alert him.
When we arrived there, we had to ask another guest the contact info so that we could access to go in. Access to the property was very dark, and had no lights heading up to the guesthouse, so had to use our phone light to open the combination lock on the front door. This could be a hazard.
The taxi driver also stated that I’m lucky that I got him as other taxi drivers do not like to drive to this location as it’s on top of a steep hill, the roads are bad and tricky to get to. Please bear in mind that, this property is a far distance away from the main road and supermarkets / shops.
The property had a lot of large insects and creatures due to the wooden louvres which allows for insects to freely come in. The toilet was broken and had no hot water. I alerted the owner and he sent someone to fix it the next day. It would’ve been nice if this was operating as it should before I arrived.The Property was clean and had a nice view other than this, I would not recommend.
