"Modern, clean, no fuss room. Comfortable bed, large shower, blue tooth connection for linking music to speakers. Fridge and safe. Great roof top with variety of seating, bookable jacuzzis and ability to order from neighbouring bar/restaurant. Great location, easy access to balcon and old town. Made use of airport transfer which was as hoped. Friendly & helpful reception. Would definitely stay again."

"We stayed for 4 nights, what a lovely place, everything was clean and fresh and we found all the staff helpful and friendly. The VG is quite central, there are lots of nice eateries and bars within walking distance. It was always lovely strolling into the town at night, the atmosphere was great. Our family had 2 rooms that looked out onto the street, we were never disturbed by any street noise. There is also a small swimming pool and recliners, this was a nice relaxing area and it was always kept immaculately clean. We used our room’s air con a few times and, that worked well. Anyway, we really enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon."

"Great view from our room. Lovely to sit on balcony overlooking the sea (very close). Wish they had 100% cotton sheets as the mixed fibres ones make me itch. Wish room temp more controllable. Should have walk in showers. Indoor pool and jacuzzi really good."

"We love this hotel! This was our third time at Arrayanes Playa Hotel. The location and beach view is perfect. Being on the edge of town gives greater choices for the beach and is just outside of the paid parking zone. We even played ping pong in the recreation room. The staff is friendly and very helpful."

"I had originally booked as they had a pool listed only to find out they open in May. Check in process was concerning as they did not get back to me. I had to reach out to the virtual agent for follow up. The virtual agent then let me know that someone would be there at my check in time and provided their name. I had reached out to see if there was an iron and received no response. Some noise from bar below as mentioned and not too bad and is expected. However, as they were getting the pool ready for May opening, there was construction noise in the morning. Overall okay place for a few nights as it is centrally located. The room is somewhat dated and could use a refresh but for the price was reasonable. Great area and close to shops restaurants and beaches. Nerja was lovely and I'd like to visit again."

"The location of the hotel is excellent as are the staff. The hotel itself though is quite tired and due an upgrade. The pool area is run down and the sunbeds (if you manage to get one) are broken. There is no pool bar, so the area doesn’t work as despite this you are unable to bring drinks in from outside. This wouldn’t be an issue if there price were not so high, there are much better options locally for this price point "

"Could be great with some policy changes. Room was totally fine (but paper thin walls), buffet totally fine (though vegetarians are basically stuck with the salad bar every meal), location was nice, pools are beautiful when actually open. The main issue with this place is that they put hideous brown fencing around the pools whenever they're not open, and they don't open until 10am even in summer (by which time kids will have been up about 3hrs), which means you're sat at breakfast looking out onto what looks like an ugly construction site. They're also a bit lazy and on cool days when they think not many people will want to swim, they only remove a couple of the fences at the pool steps, leaving an eyesore all day! We understood the safety reasons for the fences, but they need to be removed at sunrise every day without fail and left off until sunset, with the lifeguard hours matched accordingly. It really ruins the experience of the hotel and could be fixed so easily. Evening entertainment is low-budget karaoke, pub quiz, magic show etc. The one and only bar has 25 tables for about 150 rooms so get there early as most people don't fit and had to leave, either heading into Nerja or spending the evenings in the room. Overall, currently feels like a cheap and cheerful 2 or 3-star hotel, but could so easily be much better! Fix the fencing times, add hot vegetarian options at the buffet, and create an alternative evening bar / cafe area. Not sure if we'll ever go back. "
