"Don’t be fooled by the drive down to the driveway doors. Once they open, the property is beautiful. Common area for leisure and dining very tastefully decorated. Our room was very clean and spacious. Would highly recommend this place for affordable accommodation. Manuela suggested we eat at a restaurant down the street(Cancelas) what a wonderful place to eat. One portion was enough for 2. The bacalhau with the restaurant special sauce was delicious. "

"Gorgeous property with amazing hosts. Enjoyed every minute of our stay. Our host is an awesome cook and prepared a delicious dinner for us (on request) the first night. He also shared his fabulous homemade fortified wine. Our room was very comfortable, had access to a living area, full kitchen and patio. "This is an amazing hotel in an old monastery. We loved wandering around the old parts of the building including the chapel and cloister. The pool is a relaxing place to hang out and the staff were super friendly and helpful. The dining hall is beautiful and the food excellent."
