"Made a reservation at the Rodeway Inn in Port Richey, and it was an awful experience from start to finish. The “front desk” is essentially a hole in a window, and the man working there was incredibly rude and completely unhelpful. To make matters worse, I found a cockroach in the room, absolutely unacceptable. When I raised concerns, there was zero urgency or care shown. Getting a refund turned into another frustrating ordeal that dragged on for days. Between the lack of cleanliness, poor service, and overall disregard for guests, I would strongly recommend staying anywhere else."

"I depend on reviews when I travel. I read the reviews for this property prior to booking. I cannot understand how there are so many people giving good reviews. I can handle an older place that is dated. This hotel is those things but it’s also dirty and smelly. There were hairs on the refrigerator door and a child’s toy underneath the bed. The room smelled like years of cigarette smoke and mold. I very rarely give terrible review but I don’t want anyone else to fall for the trap that I did reading the other reviews. "

"Continental breakfast NOT offered at this location. Front desk staff MISERABLE. not all rooms ‘newly renovated’. Elevator located OUTSIDE of the lobby and wasn’t even offered to us on check in day-I found it a few days later. We had to drag all of our luggage up a flight of stairs. Ice machine 2nd fl broken. Our ac unit broke on day 2 - the unit was plugged in w an extension cord but maintenance did ‘fix’ it. Towels are treated like gold- one evening they didn’t have any and I was told to FIND the housekeeper myself. Front desk told me she went ‘that way’. I DID eventually find housekeeping and got towels. No drawers for clothes. Lastly…. WEED. I assume it was only in the evening since that’s when we were in the room, but it was ALL evening. You definitely get what you pay for. Won’t be returning. "
