"The only reason I took a star off was because there was a fan or something in our room that would turn on at night and it was SO loud! Everything else about this hotel was fantastic! The location was phenomenal with a short walk down to the waterfront. Right across the street from Citadel Hill and the rooftop patio was nice!"

"Stayed three nights in August. At first I was disappointed that there was no underground parking, but the lot across the street was very convenient and cheaper than the underground option. The location is absolutely perfect for taking in the vibrant Halifax waterfront scene. The room was what I’d expect from a Marriott: clean, great view, although I’d prefer if the vent in the bathroom worked. The main issue was that both elevators were out of order for the duration of our stay. The many flights of steps were not a fun way to start or end our long days of touring around. However, Melanie, at the front desk, went above and beyond to compensate us for the inconvenience, which was very much appreciated. I understand that mechanical failures may happen, or human errors occur, but the way they are dealt with are what separates a good from a bad experience, and Melanie was completely professional and competent in dealing with us and Expedia on our behalf."
