If I can upload pictures , it would be pretty self obvious. Dirty towels, dirty ice bucket, dirty floors, bathroom fan didn't work. Smoke detectors are without batteries stuck in the nightstand drawer, no sugar for the coffee. Black footprints on the bathroom walls. I asked for clean towels, frontdesk said they didn't have any but would bring me some later and never did. No "Do Not Disturb" sign to hang on the door to tell the maid not to bother me. Driveway into the place was riddled with potholes.Police were cruising parking lot on a regular basis which tells me they've had trouble there before. I could go on but running out of space to write. If I could leave less than one star, I would. They should have paid me to stay there and I will not be back.

Room was super dirty, the walls were damaged. I had booked three nights and after my first night my medication, toiletries, my smokes, a beer were all thrown away when I got back. Front desk said they thought I checked out. It happened again next day. The place has noisy tenants, it’s falling apart, dirty sheets and towels, your belongings go missing. I do not recommend staying here.

My toilet lid was broken in half. The tv had a cracked screen from someone punching it. The bedding and towels were all filthy and I am not exaggerating when I say every towel had multiple stains on it and so did all of the linens. The smoke director was missing and this was the third room they gave me because the first two were even worse. I felt terrible for the kid working the front desk because he was extremely nice and tried his best with what he had to work with. The best part was on Expedia the motel is listed as pet friendly but when you get there they have signs up that say absolutely no pets. Honestly if my cats went through and pissed all over that room it would have been an improvement. I don’t know how the health department hasn’t closed this place down.

Staff was not inviting. Would hardly speak to me. The room was nasty. Carpet was sticky, towels were gray color when they were orginally white. Towels were also thin and we were only provided with one bath sized towel.

I booked and paid in advance for 2 rooms. When I got there they had no vacancy. He tried sending me to another hotel he had somewhere else in town. I told him I wanted a refund. He said no problem. Now the fat wont give me a refund.

If I could rate this place negative-10, I would. This place is WORSE than a DUMP! IT IS DANGEROUS!!! We just needed a place to sleep on a long road trip and Hattiesburg MS was a good place to stop. It was rated 7.2 on Expedia, so we thought it would be good enough to crash for the night. It’s obvious now that many of the reviews are not legitimate! We arrived to see our toilet seat lid leaning against the wall outside our room. Inside, the toilet tank lid was broken, the curved shower curtain rod prevented the bathroom door from closing, the TV screen was smashed, the lamp shade was smashed. Five or six times during the night, different people, male and female, pounded on our door saying, “open the door or I’ll call the police.” One man slammed against the door with his body and the lock and deadbolt did not hold. The only thing that kept the door from opening more than a couple of inches was the metal latch. When we checked out, the staff acted as though they were surprised and made excuses. Worst motel ever!!!

I would not let a dog stay there. We left without staying. Trash on floors and in the trash cans. Damaged furniture. Looked like someone had just left the room in a hurry water on desk from a drink or something

This hotel is nothing like the picture. It is like walking into a crack hotel. The room stunk and towels were dirty looking. The bed sheets looked like they haven’t been changed in several uses. Did not feel safe in this place. Do not recommend this hotel for anyone.

This property was filthy. The front desk person claimed that he couldn’t find my reservation, and was extremely rude. As soon as we entered the room the smell was unbearable. Approaching the door, there was trash everywhere as well as dirty towels. People were hanging outside in what could only be pajamas, smoking things other than “cigarettes”. The ceiling in the bathroom was full of mold! The linen had multiple cigarette burns and the carpet was filthy dirty also. We did not touch anything in the room but immediately returned to the front desk to check out. They refused a refund. We found a place that was half the price of this place and will NEVER consider staying g at a Magnolia Inn anywhere, ever again.
