"Very cool vintage motor lodge. Very clean, nice staff. The Airstreams are a nice addition, however we stayed in one of the rooms. The rooms have been rehabbed with really nice touches. The only two drawbacks were the lack of a pool, which would have been nice, and the window air conditioner was not adequate for the summer heat. It was in the 80's during the day and the AC couldn't keep up."

"Wow!! The pictures don't lie! We stayed in a king room #16. So many things to love! Comfortable bed, homey feel. The bathroom was updated and spacious. Saltwater hot tub and sauna were amazing! Had a private sitting area outside to cool off. Had to make reservations so we had it all to ourselves. Full breakfast with oatmeal, waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, fruit and more. GREAT local coffee. Would be great for extended stay as it had lots of storage. Very clean...

"A beautiful view of the Arkansas River and a mountain range from the balcony. So peaceful watching the sun rise. The convenience of a great park across the street and the ability to walk to local restaurants and unique shops in town was a big plus. We feel we made the absolute best choice of hotels for our stay in Salida for our gandson's wedding!"

"The lobby and breakfast area was very nice, and looked recently renovated, and new. The rest is what you’d expect from a classic motel. The room was on the small side compared to other hotels I’ve stayed at, but it was clean and comfortable."

Make sure you check your email to get the code to get in your room because no one is really at the place but the young man who was keeping everything updated was very helpful. It was clean, but I could not get the TV to work having instructions on how to work it would be wonderful, but otherwise a great stay."
