"The cottage was gorgeous, in a lovely quiet location and parking at the back. It was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. We only stayed a night but it had almost everything you'd need for a stay. A bit of soap in the bathroom and teatowel/towel and washing up liquid in the kitchen with some milk for a cuppa when you arrive would have made it perfect. "I have to leave a review as I was so impressed here. From first moment I was welcomed by Sue in reception, to the moment I checked out. I loved the room, the ladies at breakfast, the efficient bar staff, the food, the room service, the pool, it was all just as a hotel should be. I made a mistake with my booking and had inadvertently booked one night instead of the intended two, but Michelle phoned me and we sorted it out. The hotel and facilities are great, but the staff are *all* outstanding. Seriously."

"Carpet looked about 100 years old. The bath had been painted to cover rust. The noise was horrendous from other guests and also homeless and drug addicts outside. Not to mention opposite the church bells ringing for 3 hours straight. For the price paid its ridiculous and I would definitely not recommend. Ive stayed in far better accommodation for cheaper. Even breakfast would have been an extra 20 pounds. Just disgusting all round and I certainly wouldn't recommend taking children."

"Breakfast choices were excellent. Parking was adjacent and plentiful. All staff we met were good. The room (139) felt a bit weary, the beds not particularly comfortable. The shower was over a bath, ok, but the bath sides were very high for people with stiff legs. One lamp was not working, the toilet flush handle was loose on the wall. Nothing dreadful but could be improved."
