A lot of cockroaches in the room and outside. Big window at the ceiling that doesn't have blinds, no chance to wake up later in the morning. Room was clean. Rooms and building smells old. You have to pay for everything extra. Location is good though!

We came to the Helen area for an event that kept us away from the property most of our time. We found the location to be the BEST feature for our stay. Close to Helen but away from the hustle and bustle of the "tourist attractions". We enjoyed the morning view of Yonah Mt. and the lush tree landscape, peaceful and quiet. The property is fairly well maintained and our room was a 4 out of 5 on cleanliness. A few swipes with a bug brush along the tongue and groove ceiling to remove old spider webs and we'd give it a 5 star on cleanliness. Bed linens needed a refresh as well as the bed pillows.

The rooms were quiet and the beds reasonably comfortable. However, the rooms are old. There were spider webs in our room and unfortunately, we saw a large roach during our last night. Also, this place is not handicap accessible, and the young man who checked us out seemed like it was a burden to leave the office. In retrospect, I would have payed a little more and stayed elsewhere.
