It’s a beautiful guest house and in a lovely quiet spot. We were greeted very pleasantly by Dawn(?) who kindly showed us the wonderful facilities. If we ran a guest house this is exactly how we would do it. Our bedroom was beautiful with plenty of room and a very comfortable bed and a lovely shower. The views of the ocean are marvelously relaxing. The guest lounge was fabulous, again very relaxing with tea and coffee available as in the bedroom. The breakfast area is beautifully laid out and the food is absolutely delicious. My cooked breakfast (special of the day) was really lovely. I can thoroughly recommend the marmalade, I’ve never seen thick cut as chunky as this and it tasted divine. Finally, we have never seen such a clean guest house, thoroughly recommended.

Gem of a hotel in a peaceful gorgeous location

We were received with a very warm welcome . Our room was spacious and very clean and well equipped . Meryl advised us on where to go , where to avoid and gave us excellent restaurant recommendations . The views from the bedroom and hotel are gorgeous . Breakfast was outstanding . Highly recommended .

The property is beautiful, spacious and well-maintained. The views are gorgeous and there's a lovely walkin trail along the coast right across the street. Breakfast was gourmet and delicious. Offered advice on things to do and helped us book.

Exceptional Beachside Retreat

This guesthouse is undoubtedly one of the best beach B&Bs I’ve ever visited. The decor is charming, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Its location is spectacular, offering breathtaking views of the ocean. The hosts were incredibly sweet, making the stay even more enjoyable. The food was outstanding, and the view from the Oyster room was simply unbelievable. A perfect beachside retreat that I highly recommend!

Superb location and service

Hotel is in superb location with stunning views. We walked to local restaurants, the Fat Fish was superb. Excellent breakfast and staff who can’t do enough. Recommend it for your stay. Two very minor issues - sadly we didn’t have sea view and the wind blew the door open if not locked.

High class accommodation and service

We stayed here just for 2 nights but enjoyed the comfortable room and especially the excellent breakfasts in the lovely dining area. The sea views are wonderful and the area felt very safe. Just a short drive from Hermanus

Excellent host and a wonderful location.

From a lovely welcome onwards our stay was relaxed, comfortable and exactly what we had hoped for. Our 2 rooms were both very well plamned and equipped, and the upstairs room was particularly spacious. Breakfast was tasty and gave us an opportunity to chat with both the hosts and a guest. We could walk from the door to the beach in 2 minutes, and enjoyed both the upstairs deck and the garden when relaxing at the b&b. Top marks for wonderful hosting. Thank you.

Beautiful ocean views & pristine hospitality

We were warmly welcomed, and shown to secure parking and a lovely room. Everything was completely clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated in coastal whites. It was a pleasure listening to the waves overnight. It is located right on the coast, and only about a 10-minute drive to Hermanus old harbour. Our hosts were extremely courteous and welcoming, and able to provide tips on parking in Hermanus, which we appreciated.

Très bien !

Très bon séjour et accueil. A noter que comme dans de nombreuses guesthouses, il n'y a pas de volet mais juste des stores, souvent blanc, le matin la luminosité dans la chambre est donc importante...et assez tôt ! Pour le reste, nikel : très bon accueil, très bon petit-déjeuner, situation face à l'Océan...au top.

Great Stay in Hermanus

We had a fantastic stay. The property is right on near the water with amazing ocean views and the staff was so lovely and helpful. I would definitely recommend this stay in Hermanus.

Zum wohlfühlen

Da wir wegen der Corona Krise die einzigen Gäste waren hat man uns ohne Aufpreis das schönste Zimmer gegeben. Wir würden sehr freundlich empfangen und die ganze Zeit wie VIP Gäste umsorgt. Gerne wären wir noch länger geblieben. Das Haus und die Zimmer ( wir haben überall Mal reingeschaut da die Türen offen standen und die Zimmer nicht vermietet waren ) sind sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Super Frühstück riesen Auswahl und alles für nur 2 Gäste. Danke nochmals an dieser Stelle.Leider hatten wir nur eine Nacht in dieser Traumhaften Unterkunft, direkt am Meer.

Let down by its cleanliness and the service

Very pretty guest house right on the beach in Sandbaai, approximately 7-10 minutes drive from the town center of Hermanus. The location is picture perfect! Our room was comfortable if a little on the small side - equipped with a fridge, coffee station, air conditioning and the usual amenities. The owner, Jena, was lovely and made us feel very welcome. This was sadly not our experience of the rest of the managerial and kitchen staff. Service at breakfast was dismissive and the “chef” bordered on being rude. Food was adequate although parts of the buffet offering had not been covered and had attracted flies. The standard of housekeeping was not good. I have a pet hate which is finding previous guests’ hair in the room. Unfortunately, there were several long hairs on the bath mats, on the hairdryer itself and on the shower tiles which I found most off-putting. In short, this was fine for a one night stay but it would require a huge improvement in its cleanliness and service standards for us to consider booking here again.

incredible views and exceptional service

An amazing place to stay. The views are incredible! It’s such a quaint place with incredible views of the sea. We had a relaxing stay. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and kindly made us dinner reservations in town the evening we arrived. Breakfast was exceptional and they even gave us recommendations for our drive to the next town and where to stop for lunch.

An sich ist da Guesthouse sehr nett eingerichtet. Wir kamen vom Regen durchnässt an und hätten uns sehr gefreut, wenn wir nicht dazu gedrängt worden wären, uns zu entscheiden, ob wir nun die Reservierung in dem einen Restaurant (die wir nie gemacht haben) nun wahrnehmen wollen, oder nicht. Eine kurze Frage, ob man unser nassen Gewand trocknen könne, wäre hilfreicher gewesen. Ganz abgesehen davon, daß ich von dem abscheulichen Kanalgeruch im Badezimmer mehrfach fast erbrochen hätte. Die Decken waren viel zu dünn und ich habe in der Nacht sehr gefroren. Schade, den die Lage und das Haus an sich sind für Gäste (ohne Kind!!!) toll.
