"Quirky little place to stay with a wide range of room options. Self catering cabins, dung beetle suites, or chalets are on option. I expected the ding beetle suites to be a room in a larger building. Instead was a self contained quonset hut style accomodation. Had a shower ,toilet, fridge inside, so was quite serviceable. However for a long stay such as ours the chalet was much more comfortable. Thanks to Henry for recognition and upgrading us without prompting. Breakfast was fantastics. ...

Woodall Country House & Spa

Addo

10/10 Excellent

Everything from the early email exchanges arranging tours of Addo, to the welcome, the tour, the food, the room and the service was absolutely perfect. Having stayed in 100's of hotels in dozens of countries this would definitely be one of the best. The attention to detail and personal experience could not be faulted. As an example - we were booked for an official night drive via the Addo park but as we were running late there would of been no time to eat so without asking Edwin had arranged us...

De Old Drift Guest Farm

Addo

We booked this place online as somewhere to base ourselves to explore Addo and surrounding area and the pictures don’t do it justice. From the moment we drove up the lemon grove drive I knew I’d made a good choice. An oasis of calm after a hectic drive down the garden route, two ponds frame your entrance whilst weaver bird nests hang from surrounding trees. A beautiful setting near the Sundays River where the reception and restaurant look out to the welcoming swimming pool. The staff are so...

Hitgeheim Country Lodge & Eco Reserve

Addo

10/10 Excellent

We had a wonderful stay at Hitgeheim Country Lodge. The road in is a little rough, but as it is an eco reserve, that is to be expected and part of the experience. The reward is the wildlife along the way, and we were lucky enough to encounter some zebras. We chose a room with a private pool, which was absolutely beautiful and made our stay feel extra special. We loved the port provided and enjoyed a delicious Taste of South Africa dinner in the restaurant. A lovely final touch was having our car...
