"Kitchen was very well-equipped, with a lovely big fridge. Appreciate the laundry machine available. Older place so a bit worn and dusty in places. Very spacious - yet somewhat awkward for just relaxing in. Single beds were not comfortable so we placed tri-fold mattresses on top. Orange duvet covers not a pleasant material to touch. We could not get hot water in the tub so we're not able to enjoy it! Air conditioning was good! Nice neighborhood. Lovely plants and birds just outside!"

"While this stay lacks in the polished stays of a fancy resort it makes up ten-fold in charm and personality. This was the coziest most wonderful stay we've had on our trip yet and we'll definitely be back. Located a mere 4 minute walk from the train station and a 1 minute from the beach this was the low key break we needed. The stay was clean with great amenities. "Stayed with my partner, and the entire area of Shimoda is so charming. If you want to experience a taste of the natural flora and fauna of Japan, this place is it. The staff were accommodating, helpful and kind, and the restaurant was excellent for a taste of the local cuisine. Great gems to be found nearby. My only recommendation is to rent a car for this area, as there’s so much to see but not all in walkable distances."

"This hotel was something else. To our surprise the rooms are two floors. Which worked out great for our family. The two restaurants in the resort are amazing. We ate dinner at the Japanese restaurant and we are still taking about how good it was. The beds were so comfortable and sleeping with the sound of the ocean was next level. Kids loved the pool and beach too. I found colorful seashells and sea glass. The breakfast was also so good and we ate outside so not only was the service great but also the view. We used the onsen and foot onsen and it was so relaxing. We hope to come back soon."

"The hotel has beautiful scenery and a very relaxing atmosphere. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent, with a great variety of delicious food. The staff were friendly, professional, and very helpful. There was a small issue with my reservation, but the team patiently assisted me and resolved everything smoothly. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped. While the facilities are a little dated, they are very well maintained. The hot spring was fantastic and incredibly relaxing after a long day. Overall, this hotel offers great value for money. I highly recommend it and would definitely stay here again in the future."

"Maybe the best hotel experience I've ever had. Room was amazing, with an onsen overlooking the sea. Shared onsens also available at the property were fantastic and provided a moonlit soak in a secluded grove. The staff was the picture of hospitality - warm, accommodating, and endlessly helpful. Dinner and breakfast were exceptional. Will be back for sure."
