Good place to stay in High Wycombe

It was comfortable stay and the hotel has been recently decorated therefore it is very nice and clean

Disappointed room

After arriving at the hotel I was shown my disappointing the was very small just about get a double bed in the room the tv did not work properly and the internet was very poor to say the least keep coming in and out the was a good size with a large bath

not as good as thought

top floor,no one on reception when arrived,room smelt foisty,toilet was on the move from left to right, half a toilet roll left for 2 persons,1 bed lumpy out of two,on entering drive we had to avoid a hole around a grate as not to damage car,anyone could hurt themselves if dark and not seen.not for me.

Room was nice enough...

I found the neighbourhood that this hotel is located in to be slightly worrying. Nothing too crazy but I got the sense you wouldn't have too look far to find trouble. The building itself was nice enough with ample parking. The only staff member that I encountered was nice enough and check-in went smoothly. Our room was quite large and nicely appointed as well. It was located right beside the front desk/office however and we could hear the phone ringing and I could repeat any conversation being had in the lobby verbatim. Traffic in the hallways was quite loud as well. Housekeeping could have been better. Nothing too disgusting but there were things that I wouldn't tolerate in my home. We also had issues with the temperature control on our shower and found the tub to be quite slippery with no flat bottom. All things considered I wouldn't want to stay here again.

Ambassador Court

Room and bathroom were fine but as females travelling together we were a little wary of the local area. Lots of road noise too.

Good for business trips

Thehotel is conveniently located if you have work in the Buckinghamshire area. Rooms are small but clean with good bathrooms. There is on site parking. A BP pump next door is very handy - there is a 24 hour shop selling all essentials. It is a good 12 minute walk to the town centre, which is basically a large Sainsbury's and a shopping centre with a few places to eat, not very pretty for an old town. Did not try thehotel breakfast so cannot comment on the food.

Good staff , clean . oK for 1 night stop over

Staff very helpful , carried case to our room . The chef/waitrer at breakfast was excellent. Very helpful , polite and efficient ... the breakfast was lovley , loads of food and we'll worth the money .. the room was clean and had everything you need such as hairdryer, fan , iron board and iron , good sized bathroom with bath and shower ., Downside is that room very small and cramped , our iron was missing, kettle kept going off so.had to wiggle wire to come back on.several times , basin was cracked and sharp inside , and we only had 1 hand towel in double room which others have complained about on reviews . Area around hotel is not only nice but not hotels fault. . Overall a decent stay for a one night stop over .

Lovely hotel, friendly, clean and well presented.

Parking is tight, arrive early, or park on the lawn. Plain porridge was very expensive at 8 pounds, no fruit or Cinnamon Apple version, very poor planning as people are expecting choices every day. Full English was brilliant, great bacon selection. Choose carefully! Overall very positive experience.

Ok but room for improvement.

The hotel was clean and recently decorated. My only gripes were that we had the room at the front which meant road noise and drunks as the double glazing didn't do much to keep the sound down. The curtains would have benefited from being lined with light-proof fabric as the street light was right outside the window. The tv remote operated only intermittently. The shower controls were the opposite to what actually came out of the tap! Bed was comfy and the room warm.

Ok-But!!!

Found hotel easily next to Garage. Booked in, was asked by reception if we wanted breakfast, asked what it was told Full English, Continental cold meats etc. Booked and paid for each Bedroom just big enough for a double bed and a small wardrobe. Hot drinks making facilities. Bathroom clean plus towels. Television was freeview, reception terrible, good job we had books to read. Bed comfortable. Up in morning down to restaurant 09.00. New person asked what breakfast was wanted.Said I wanted Full English my wife the Continental.I really don't think he understood about the Continental We had flakes and hot drinks, my wife toasted some bread. My breakfast came, nothing for my wife. Man left and we waited but he did not reappear. Went to kitchen door and knocked but no response. We finished and went back to our room, picked up our baggage and went downstairs. Nobody on reception to talk to, so put key in key box and left. Advice to anyone else ensure you know what you are getting before you pay for breakfast £7 plus, for flakes, toast and a cup of tea over priced. English breakfast just ok

Lovely clean hotel, friendly staff - close to pubs

Smooth check in- helped with bags - very clean - very friendly - we had a room at the back was quiet - we had an executive room space was a bit of an issue - breakfast was served in the morning which was extra .

Small and not great.

The room was very small and not particulary sound proof. There was no restaurant at the hotel, which was different to the hotel description.

A place to rest your head nothing special

The room was as described. Definitely needs bigger towels but other than that it was ok! I was only there for one night probably couldn't do more than that!

clean, small, noisy and perhaps a new cook?

Been here a few years ago when it was a bit shabby. Nowadays much better however -> room at the front of the hotel ment a lot of noise from the street. Shower is soso and very small. Payed separately for breakfast but a 7:05 still dark. after knocking on the door the cook opened the door in his underwear. Woke up by me knocking. His bed was somewhere in the restaurant I guess because I could see it. We decided not to wait untill he was dressed and started preparing breakfast. Money waisted and hungry on the road.

Good for short business stops

It was a single night stay for business purposes. Hotel was very suitable for my needs with off road parking and walking distance to restaurants.
