"We had a great stay. The area is very quiet. There's a great cafe restaurant directly across the street and the patio of the cafe faces the sea. Every Saturday there's live music from 3-6pm. The bus runs runs right in front of the complex so it's easy to get to Smithfield mall in less than 15 minutes on the 120 bus or Cairns Central Shopping Center where you can find groceries at Coles or Woolworths. "Expedia website indicated airport shuttle was included. The hotel called for a taxi, but we ended up footing the bill! Also noted that there was no attendant in the lobby one of the evenings there -a couple travelers were trying to check in but couldn't reach staff. Staff who we encountered were very courteous. The room was fine, but there was no safe which I feel is necessary especially in a city. We did not use the pool or go to the restaurant so I cannot comment on those. "

"I enjoyed my stay. The room was large. It had all the amenities I needed. The only thing I would mention is perhaps put a picture of the 18 stairs one negotiates with 23 kg suitcase. Add a picture of the stairs. I know you say no elevator but a picture of stairs is worth a thousand words. "

Room has good WiFi and we booked a harbour view with large balcony with chairs & table.
Room has all facilities and is adequately spacious. 2 minor downsides are: 1. There is opaque glass in the bathroom so when the light is switched on in the night it shines in the bedroom. 2. At night the ‘mood’ lighting is very dim.
