"I was not aware but each of the units at the hotel are individually owned. So some have updated furniture and some dont. Overall i gave it a 4 star due to the room conditions. "This was a great property. The grounds and condo were beautiful. Small amount of beach stuff to use. Washer and dryer came in handy. It would have been nice to have some tupperware or foil in the kitchen. The walls are thin and we could hear every step made upstairs. There is a nice quiet bay within walking distance. "

"The beach on the property was awesome. The guys on the ATV's on the beach need to minimize there trips past the chairs with umbrellas, they went back and forth too much. They also need to travel down the sides of the chairs not through the middle divide of the chairs. "

"This was our second time staying at the Kona Castle Reef . This oceanfront unit was comfortable, tidy and an excellent layout. Some of the lighting fixtures seemed dated and Could use replacement . Having the bbq’s there as an alternative cooking option was fantastic. We can’t wait to visit again next year and hopefully secure the same unit as we did this time ."
