The best part of this Motel is the staff. Mr. Ross and Arpita always had a smile to greet us each time we walked through the doors. And Mr. Ross took to my brothers sarcasm with a chuckle, and my picky wants as well. Each time I had a request I was accommodated with a smile, and no problem. I also enjoyed watching the wildlife at the lake. If ever in Hot Springs I would definitely consider staying here again. However, you might need a new pool guy. Glad I did not plan on enjoying the pool. While some did, I would have had to pass. A bit to cloudy for my liking.

they experience a tornado a week before we arrived having problems with door keys but service was very good and personnel was very friendly and polite.

Baymount by Wyndham Hot Springs by the Lake, in my opinion, has great potential to be able upgrade hotel level due to beautiful location right next to the lake with beautiful mountains in the distance and the excellent cleanliness. The major problem is maintenance of the property and staffing. There was only 1 staff who seemed to do everything. When we were there to check in, there was no one for a long while. Turned out she was in the bathroom. When we had problem because of broken faucet and she was away trying to deal with other guests. Surprised she could still being friendly with all the things she had to deal with alone.

Had many problems with our door not shutting, we even switched rooms and still had the same issue. Was very worried anyone could come in and take our stuff once we left.

Our room smelled bad. The whole place looked like it was under maintenance. The sign had fallen over. The bar/restaurant wasn’t available. The pool wasn’t ready yet. Water never got hot. Will never come here again.

It was a convenient location . Beautiful views of Lake Hamilton. The staff was very kind. If you are a coffee drinker though bring your own coffee pot(we went out and bought one) and coffee because their coffee left a lot to be desired.

CONS FIRST: Check-in took much longer than expected. The elevator doors were filthy on the inside. There was hair in the shower and on the tub and bathroom floors. The tub/shower drain was clogged, which is super gross for a hotel. The toilet would refill every 10 minutes or so... and it was very loud when it did that; a high-pitched screaming sound. The air conditioner in every room was ridiculously loud. I mean RIDICULOUSLY LOUD. Every time our A/C/ unit kicked on, it woke me up with a jump. And every time either of my neighbor's units turned on, I was aware of it because theirs were so loud as well. The floor felt like it had sand on it. Our screen door was torn all along the bottom, so it was pretty worthless when it came to keeping the bugs out. There was mold growing on the legs of the fabric chair (there was a rolling chair, too). The sheets were either sideways on the bed, or they were the wrong size... they were constantly pulling up and off around the corners. The chairs on the balcony were very uncomfortable. The pool had lots of dead bugs and debris in it. (This won't matter to some: the tv did not have any streaming options - for kids, that's bad.) PROS: The staff were very kind and helpful. The grounds were lovely. The view from our 4th floor room (lake side) was beautiful. The free breakfast was not bad at all. The room was spacious. The sheets and towels were clean. The lights worked. Second time staying here. Will not likely stay there again.

This is a nice hotel. Room was clean and neat. Bed was comfortable. I'd stay there again. Well worth the price we paid. Nice dining room, good hot breakfast. It has the steepest driveway of any hotel I've ever used, like a ski jump. You wouldn't want to stay there when it snowed overnight. You might be be trapped. Good Mexican restaurant next door. Internet speed was barely adequate. They have two internet options, one open, where you wouldn't want to use your credit card, and another named 1Baymont with password security. They didn't mention the secure 1Baymont connection until I asked. Both were very slow when used in the room on fourth floor, but worked better when I took my laptop to the dining room.

Very good location, easy access to everything and on beautiful Lake Hamilton. Staff was very nice and helpful. It was quiet, had everything we needed in the room. Breakfast was nice. Really the only negative thing is the bathroom was a bit old and run down. Needs some updating. Tp and kleenex need an upgrade...soooo thin and rough. The room was very clean and neat. Beds were comfortable. Overall a nice place that I would stay at again.

The room was fine. The bed was soft and comfortable. There was smell every time we opened the door but once in the room you couldn't smell it, it was just at the door opening. Other than that the room and facilities were fine.

At the time we were there (April 2024), the restaurant was closed. The previous operator had pulled out and a new one hadn’t taken over yet. But it was a great place to watch the eclipse from. The hotel had plenty of glasses for people. We set up camp at one of the tables on the pool deck, others set up lawn chairs. It was quite the party.

It seemed like they are part ways through a redo. There was an issue with the alcohol permit, so the restaurant was closed. The breakfast was ok but not great. The coffee was not very good. I understand the rooms were so expensive because we were there during the eclipse but I still don't think it was worth the price we paid.

We were hoping to get a room with a view of the lake but nope, we got a view of the parking lot instead. The lobby and breakfast area were remodeled nicely, but the rest of the hotel - not so much. It was okay overall. Comfortable beds. Nothing really to complain about except the price. Too much for this hotel

**Expedia requested I remove all dollar amounts hence the _ _ _. Expedia did not warn of a _ _ _ damage fee deposit. As we all know the deposits get charged to your debit card immediately and not refunded for 3-4 days. The Baymont charged a deposit of DOUBLE WHAT THEY QUOTED at checkin. INSTEAD of the _ _ _….…upon asking staff the next morning about the DOUBLED charge to my card for the deposit. she told me “we only charged quoted amount, we have no say over how your financial institution charges you”. WTH?!?! SOMEHOW the Baymont charged my debit card DOUBLE, it does not charge itself, does it?!?!? Oh well, we shall not stay at another Baymont.

I had high hopes for this hotel because it was in a nice area but that was the only thing nice about it. Our tub/shower was dirty. The restrooms in the lobby were out of order along with other places in the hotel. I had chose this hotel because they were supposed to have a laundry room available, they did not. It was supposed to be smoke free, it was not. It was a terrible experience all around.
