The Garden City Hotel

"We arrived late for a quick overnight before heading out to the rest of our journey. Didn’t get a chance to use any of the facilities and the restaurants were closed at the hotel and locally in town. Was very appreciative of the staff allowing us to get something from their small grab ‘n go counter. The food offered there was actually quite excellent. The thing that left a bad taste in my mouth was that even though I prepaid online ahead for my room, I still got hit $43 for their daily “facility fee” at checkout. It’s supposed to cover parking (which we didn’t have a car), wi-fi in the lobby and in your room, access to the fitness center and pool. In other words….things other hotels would toss into your room rate. I didn’t use any of these things on our quick trip. Glad we were only there the one night because that extra fee is PER DAY. This is a high end expensive hotel!"

"The room was clean,staffs very helpful and polite, parking space were always available and safe without fear of vandalism. The air-conditioning was ok. Complesively, my stay was very good and I would definitely use the hotel whenever I am in New York and want to stay around floral park or close to Long Island"
