You can hear the cars passing by from your room, but it’s not too loud. The room was clean and comes to the bathroom inside. The restaurant downstairs is good.

Great, cozy place to rest after a long day. Restaurant below has wonderful food. If you are staying in their guest house, they have complimentary tea and coffee in the lounge upstairs. They reserved our seating without us asking when we let them know we’d come right back down to eat after check in. The restaurant was crowded but food was superb with huge portions. LOVED this place!

I loved this place. The staff was so kind. It is so easy to find, right there on the Ring Road. It was a warm and welcoming place, with a special area dedicated to their Grandmother. It was a wonderful little oasis along our journey.

Spectacular dinner, service and views. Rooms are small, but common “living room” was nice to meet people after dinner. We looked for value room this one night, and room reflected price, but bed was very comfortable and breakfast included rate added even more value

The property is clean, staff was helpful and the dining area was busy, lots of people eating good food. Now the reason I gave 4 stars is because this is a truck stop, literally drove right by the place because it does not look like a hotel. The noise from the trucks and the highway was alot until after 10pm. Also the room was cool when we got in so turned the heat up and it never got warmer. The bathroom is tiny! When you shower nothing in the bathroom comes out dry, even with the shower curtain nothing was safe. Expedia has it advertised as Breakfast for a fee, but after October the breakfast is not offered at all. Overall, if all you need is a cheap room,clean bed, shower, and convienent location, literally 50feet off the highway, this place really is great.

My partner and I were passing thru and stayed here for one evening. It’s not a fancy place, it almost has a kind of truck stop feel vibe to it. The staff were friendly and welcoming, I don’t know the name of the lady who checked us in but she was just fantastic and fun. Check in was easy, if you’ll be late to your check in let them know in advance - I’m sure they can accommodate you. Our room was quaint, tiny but it was comfortable and perfect for an evening. Private bathroom is always a plus. Hot water really smells like sulfur because of the area, a little stanky but not a big deal! What I really loved about this property was the restaurant below. We went for dinner after our check in and our server was the same lady who checked us in! It was a little pricey of course but it was so delicious. I’m still thinking about that meal, very tasty, great service. The restaurant closes early so keep that in mind. They do offer breakfast as well but it’s not included. I think I noticed a gas station beside the property, so that’s convenient too (no food though, only gas). This was a great stay if you’re passing thru and I recommend it to you if you’re considering. It’s great for solo travellers and partners. Thank you North West for the great stay!

The place was a bit rustic, but we enjoyed our stay. The attached restaurant was good and served a simple but nice breakfast. The hot water in the bathroom gave off a sulfur odor due to - I think - geothermal heating. Overall, though, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

This was a great stay for the one night we needed before heading back to Reykjavik! Very convenient as it is right off the 1 HWY, loved that there was a communal fridge upstairs for the guests and the restaurant downstairs was excellent! The bathroom smelled moldy when the water ran...other than that the room was great!

Great stay at North West!

Had a lovely one night stay at North West. Great service from lovely staff. Our room was clean and inviting, and the bed comfortable. The food we had in the restaurant was absolutely delicious! I will be dreaming about the parmesan & garlic bread sticks for a long time. The bathroom was small, but no complaints as to cleanliness or functionality.
