"The owners were super nice and the building had tons of character. I had to take away stars because the primary reasons I booked at this location was that the property information listed breakfast being included and laundry facilities as a convenience. The owner said they haven't provided breakfast in quite a long time and the laundry facility was a laundromat across the street."

"Great place to stay, certain rooms have no bathroom and have to share a space down the hall. I was surprised by this but I should have read the description better! It is a beautiful historic property with great beds and lots of peace."

"My first visit to Silverton and I'm so glad I chose to stay at The Avon! Loved the charm of this place, very fitting to the full experience of a mountain town at high elevation. The whole establishment was kept very clean, bathrooms are clean and stuffed with clean towels and toiletries, the kitchen/bar/living room area is very roomy. "Very nice older property right near Gondola. No ac in rooms and windows shut so quite warm when we checked in. The hot tubs and pool were very nice. We had some plumbing issues. Probably a bit overpriced compared to some other properties nearby. We were attending the bluegrass festival and that was fantastic!"

"We were honestly shocked at how dirty the room was. Floors left our feet black with filth, and the sheets were "clean enough", yet had some hair and dirt flecks in them. The shower was good water pressure and heat, but the floor outside it had signs of water damage (squishy floorboards). Toilet seat was barely attached to toilet. We stayed in the mysterious room 10, which wasn't mentioned in the lobby signage, and we got in late so we had to call the emergency line to even find it. Turns...
