"When I checked into the hotel, they told me a hold deposit is required for incidental and it would be refunded within a few days. I didn't get the refund after 4 days and was also charged another deposit. Both charges were already posted to my credit card account within 2 days of my stay instead of in pending status. I called the hotel about the charges and they just told me to wait a few more days. On the 5th day, the charges were still not refunded so I had to call my credit card company to dispute the charges to get them reversed. Avoid this hotel."

"Hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms and overall condition of the property was clean and in excellent condition. I did not provide a 5 star review because I specifically chose this place because they offered a 6:30am breakfast time and it was near my work. Both mornings that breakfast was available to me, it was closer to 7am before the hot food was ready and I had to skip breakfast on the morning of my checkout. Just beware that although the signs say breakfast starts at 6:30, the hot food is not ready at that time. "

"I love staying at this hotel because of the closest to the airport. But seems the last few times that I’ve stayed here. I always get stuck in the rear part of the building."

"This was our first trip to Des Moines and we are extremely impressed with this hotel! We are a family of eight and we reserved two one-bedroom suites for two nights for under $350. Exceptional value! Pros: -Rooms, and whole hotel, were very clean. -Excellent amenities with a shop, arcade, rec room and a large pool. -Friendly, helpful staff -Amazing breakfast Cons: - Although there are adjoining rooms, we weren't able to be placed together. We understand it was busy, though! That's it! Really no other downsides to this stay. One last thing to mention is that the hotel seems to partner with a trucking company. There were a lot of truckers staying and there's a truck lot next to the hotel property. This isn't an issue, of course. When we first arrived, though, it was late and there were a lot of guys milling around outside the hotel. For my wife and daughters, it was disconcerting. Again, nothing wrong, but definitely something for female travelers or family travelers to be aware of!"
