"I stay at the Gladstone Motel once in a while and it never disappoints. The management keeps sprucing the place up little by little, yet keeps the rates affordable.
Linens, towels, carpeting, and fabric seating surfaces were all spotlessly clean.
Unscented cleaning and laundering agents were apparently used as there was no smell at all in my room and on my linens and towels. Very nice!
Bed was super comfy. I slept like a log!
Room decor features wood paneling resplendent with bumps and bruises bearing happy witness to decades of use. Perhaps it's dated, but it also won't jar your eyes while you're drifting off to sleep. Furniture was a bit worn, adding to the carefree vibe of the place--just toss your luggage and gear anywhere.
Washroom is outfitted with extensive tile throughout, which was in great shape and now seems retro cool. The toilet sits a bit low and the shower is not big enough for two.
Entrance doors now feature an electronic combination lock. There's a regular deadbolt above that for added security. The entrance door doesn't slam shut by itself.
Check-in was easy. I called the number posted on the office door, and they promptly texted me my room number and keycode.
Heating and air conditioning are handled by separate units on the opposite ends of the room. My A/C cooled the room down on an 85-degree day in just a few minutes.
Amenities include a mini-fridge, microwave, alarm clock, TV, and Keurig coffee maker with 5 assorted K-cups."
