"I always stay in Hotel Emporio on my visits to Ixtapa. However, during each of my 3 visits so far in 2026, they have been doing some kind of remodeling, painting or some other inconvenient activity that it bothersome to some or many guests. Aside from that, upon each visit I find out that one of my favorite employees is no longer with the hotel and this is disappointing. However, I always receive great service from the positive and friendly employees and I always enjoy my stay at the hotel. I love the location which is close to much shopping, bicycle rental and convenience stores. The combi and taxi transportation is easily accessed her, also. The weather on this visit was rather hot and humid and Google described many days as ¨excessive heat advisory¨. Hotel room airconditioning worked fantastic! I would like to give a special shout out to the following employees who excelled during my week long stay. Ángeles and Yeraldi were stellar at the Arrecife restaurant. Brisa was magnificent with her sandwiches and ice cream at the Deli. Georgina was pleasant and helpful at reception and Julián was superb as bellboy at the entrance. Of course, Rosa on the entertainment or animation staff was her regular enthusiastic and welcoming self spinning the hit music and guiding the many activities. I plan to return at the end of the year when the heat and humidity subside to a more seasonably comfortable level."
