"A quiet and stylish retreat from the surrounding bustle. The hotel was comfortable and offered good (though somewhat limited) services. It’s in the midst of a busy and somewhat chaotic section of San Jose, but it manages to offer relaxation and calm. The breakfast buffet was outstanding. The room TV did not offer any streaming options, only cable TV. The staff was very friendly and helpful. "

"Great location in front of the park and easy walking to museums and shopping.
Staff everywhere were wonderful and quick and responsive, except in the bar in the evening. The bar only had one server, who was very social, so we had to chase them for service and it was slow.
Rooms are being renovated, but the most important areas were addressed - we had a lovely room overlooking the city with big windows. Comfy clean bed, hot water (which is a premium in Costa Rica as Tico's don't appreciate our northerners habit of taking hot showers). A relaxing, great stay overall."

"Super high ceilings. Amazing common lounge areas on each floor. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast. The kitchenette in the suite is lacking amenities (just a microwave, stovetop, and mini fridge). No dishware, glasses, or utensils. Tight and chaotic parking lot.
Very enjoyable stay! Highly recommend if you're in this part of town. "
