"This was a lovely place to spend our first couple of nights in Costa Rica after a long flight. The grounds were beautiful and the breakfasts were great, as was our evening meal. The accommodation felt vibrant and Costa Rican, which we loved, but could do with a little updating. However, it was still a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay. We really enjoyed the coffee tour and would highly recommend it."

"I’m currently staying at the Hotel Santo Tomas and it’s a total standout. The building was originally built in 1908, and they’ve done an incredible job maintaining that historic character while keeping everything comfortable. Even though you’re right downtown and close to everything, the property feels like a private oasis. Once you step inside, you completely forget you’re in the middle of a busy city. "Our flight landed at 11:00 a.m., but the hotel’s free shuttle would not pick us up until 1:00 p.m. due to check-in time. After being awake since 3:00 a.m. and with nowhere to go for two hours, we took an Uber to the hotel so we could eat and rest.
