Melrose Place Boutique is a jewel in the heart of Johannesburg. A small hotel (35 rooms) in a pretty residential neighborhood. Surrounded by lush vegetation and a small but beautiful swimming pool, it is both cozy and relaxing to sit on your patio and enjoy the view and quiet. Breakfast was delicious, with a continental buffet and eggs made to order - it is perfect. The hotel arranges for a shuttle to and from the airport. All the staff are helpful friendly. I will definitely stay there on my next trip.

Such a pleasant stay

I wanted some peace from the bustle of Johannesburg for one night and found this guest lodge to be perfect and I felt very safe. A large room with a comfortable bed plus a big bathroom. The bathroom was modern and well appointed with a spacious bath and separate shower. The property was quiet, even though it was full of guests, and the breakfast generous.

Another warm welcome

We have stayed here on a number of visits as we use Johannesburg as a travel hub. We arrive, and the room is ready. No fancy formalities, just a lovely greeting from Sue and the Staff. Had a rather early morning departure to the Airport - breakfast was available - thank you We will be back

We have used Melrose Place on a few stopovers and have never been let down. Transport was available from the OR Tambo Airport. Safe and secure. Convenient for shops and excellent places to eat. Quiet retreat in Melrose

We stayed in a ground-floor flat/room. Own entrance Immaculate and in good condition. Fridge, kettle to make your own brew, comfortable bed and good wifi. Very comprehensive breakfast. Even in April, my wife ventured into the pool for a refreshing swim. Plenty of places to eat within safe walking distance. Lovely and quiet. Certainly return when we visit friends again

I stay here whenever I visit Joburg - its a lovely setting with a central swimming pool and rooms scattered around - the staff are very friendly as is the wonderful owner Sue. The food is excellent and the honour bar brings out the best in guests! - very well located from the business district but just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of this vibrant city to make you feel you are in a country retreat

I did not have a car and I had to use an Uber to get to a restaurant so no in-house dining. I was offered a Mr Delivery menu but did not wish to eat in my room or in the breakfast area. The bedroom was very comfortable but my bathroom not great. Breakfast was superb except for the sharing of the farm style tables

Sicheres Johannesburg

Der Stadtteil Sandton gehört auf jeden Fall zum sicheren Teil der Stadt. Die Anlage ist sehr idyllisch gelegen. Die Zimmer sind geräumig, sehr sauber und die Gastgeberin überaus sympathisch. Ca 300 Meter entfernt ist ein wirklich gutes griechisches Restaurant, das man gut zu Fuß erreichen kann.
