A pleasant place to stay

We stayed at the Sandton Boutique Hotel - 28a on Oxford for 3 nights in mid-August, and were lucky enough to score a free upgrade. The hotel is quite lovely, with period furniture and thatched roofs. The room was large and quiet. The bathroom was also large, but the water pressure wasn't great. There is a pool (looked lovely, but we didn't use it) and beautiful gardens with plenty of places to relax. Breakfast was abundant and very good, however, there is no restaurant for lunch or dinner. A shuttle or taxi is required to travel to nearby shopping centres or restaurant precincts (approx $A10/R100) - not an issue if you have a car, and there is secure parking on-site. We walked from Sandton Shopping Centre to the hotel when we first arrived, but it was a long up-hill walk and a taxi would be a better option if you have bags. There is no airconditioning, so the room gets a little warm, but it wasn't unbearable.

Amazing Hide Away

An amazing hotel that can be called a home. The staff are very helpful and quick to resolve any issues. The driver is always on time with a lot of patience. Breakfast is always on time and to a great standard. The hotel is one of the best I have seen with your own space. A great place to go with your partner for peace and quite. Loved it. Thank you for having us.

Fantastic Hotel and stay

I have just returned from a 9 night stay at the Santon Boutique Hotel. It is a wonderful oasis of calm set in beautiful gardens. It is safe and peaceful. William welcomed me and was most helpful and friendly; in fact, all the staff including Rafael and the others whose names I don't know were great and they went out of their way to make sure I was happy. They were unobtrusive too. The room was spacious and comfortable The breakfast was made to order and plentiful. I would definitely return. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Idylle in zentraler Lage

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral aber trotzdem sehr ruhig. Die großzügigen Zimmer sind schön eingerichtet und das Hotel bietet typisch kap-holländischen Stil (inkl tollem Garten und Pool). In so guter Lage dürfte Vergleichbares schwer zu finden sein. Da es nur wenige Zimmer gibt, ist alles sehr persönlich und unkompliziert. Wir wurden vom Personal rundum toll versorgt, bei kleinen Anliegen wurde uns sofort Hilfe geboten ( z.B. für einen Tagesausflug wurde der Kontakt zu sehr netten Fahrern hergestellt. Restaurants und Shopping sind sehr einfach zu erreichen (3-4 Autominuten oder 20 Minuten zu Fuß). Für unsere 2 Übernachtungen war das Hotel optimal und wir würden jederzeit wieder hier buchen.

We enjoyed our stay here mainly because the staff were so pleasant. The small things that one expects in the bathroom were not there. Two small bottles of all-purpose liquid soap really is not the extent of toiletries expected in a room like this. The attention to detail in the room was poor but the linen was good, the bed was comfortable. The TV selection was poor. We enjoyed the breakfasts but were a bit alarmed that the kitchen didn't function for a snack on Sunday evening. We were told to get food via Mr. Delivery which we did as we didn't have a car.

A Large Guesthouse in a wellto do area

Nice pocket of piece near Joburg city and airport

we only stayed here 1 day, it is a quiet pocket in a very busy city, and still very close to town and airport. Nice rooms, nice garden, swimming pole. good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. Is more like a guesthouse, only serving breakfast, no restaurant facilities.

Love hotel with great staff

This is a lovely hotel with a lot of character with great stuff. It is in a beautiful, quiet, safe and wealthy neighborhood. It reminds you of an olden colonial era, very different than your standard hotel setting. I would highly recommend it!
