The iglus were way more comfortable than expected. We booked a lake view iglu and the experience could not have been more romantic. Also nice and helpful staff from pick up to check out. Thanks a lot! We will recommend this location to everyone.
We absolutely loved this property. The glass igloo was so quiet and private. There is a wonderful cozy lodge that has everything you could ever need for a comfortable stay. The host was very helpful and kind.
We had an amazing stay! We stayed in a riverfront igloo with a great view of the frozen river. The igloo was compact, but had everything you needed, especially dark skies and lots of stars. Walking across to the other side for dinner in the dark was an interesting experience, but part of the fun. Tony was so helpful - he organised a very last minute excursion for us and even dropped us off - really above and beyond our expectations. Just thank you so much for making our stay so comfortable, fun, easy and welcoming! We definitely recommend!
So glad we booked a stay here!
Very beautiful igloo and amazing staff members!
And you can experience walking across a frozen river(about 20min) and on the other side of the river they have a Sami style restaurant, supermarket, and a Raindeer museum to feed the raindeers as well!
Not to mention the staff was very friendly showing us where everything is and even helped us book a last minute dog sledding tour which was another amazing experience!
Thank you guys so much!
The battery in our rental car froze, so we couldn't get to the hotel. However, the owner of the inn contacted the rental car company and asked them to come and pick up the car, and then they came to pick us up at our location. The facilities were great, and the igloo room and sauna were perfect. The Wi-Fi was also good. They even lent us cold weather gear for free. It's a truly wonderful hotel.
This was an amazing place to stay in Northern Sweden. The staff went above and beyond with hospitality, including knocking on our door to let us know the Aurora was visible and helping us get some great pictures! Wish we would have stayed longer, would highly recommend!
I loved my stay the cabins are really nice and comfortable and if its during winter you can just walk about 20 minutes across a frozen lake to the Ice hotel and the owners are very respectful and if you need a ride anywhere they charge cheaper than a taxi plus the Northern Lights right outside
We stayed in one of the glass igloos. It was very small, but that’s what we expected. We were very fortunate to see the northern lights from the igloo. The staff was fantastic and it was a great experience to be away from everything and experience the northern lights in a remote location. I highly recommend this place especially if you wanna spend an extra night before staying at the ice hotel, which was very close by.
I stayed in a glass igloo and it was amazing. The serene surroundings made for a peaceful stay. A moose passed by my igloo several times during my stay and I was able to get some decent photos of the aurora borealis. In the winter you can take a short walk across the river and see the sites of Jakkasjärvi, which includes the world famous Ice Hotel. The staff were kind and extremely helpful. The igloo, lounge, and shared bathrooms were immaculate. The provided breakfast was minimal but sufficient. I would highly recommend staying here.
We very much enjoyed our stay at Aurora River Camp. Tony was an excellent host, picking us up from the bus stop, allowing us time to do groceries, and dropping us at the airport at the end of our stay. He even went out of his way to pickup a local Swedish vinegar that my husband wanted to try but had been unable to find. The property itself was extremely peaceful and serene. We had an igloo right on the river and it was a wonderful experience. Would recommend!
Aurora River Camp (Tony and Natalie) did an amazing job with our accommodation to see the northern lights! The location was amazing, and the igloos and cabins were all in excellent condition! Tony’s service was immaculate. Not only did he provide us rides to town at a cheaper cost than most taxis, he also took us to the local Market for food options that kept our costs contained. The vantage point that we had over the river Torne was second to none. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to see the northern lights for the first time or camp over the river Torne.
We stayed in a glass igloo. It was expensive, but not as expensive as the Ice Hotel on the other side of the river. There's a tiny loo in the pod, but your knees hit the wall while sitting there doing your thing. Hot showers in a separate building.
Even though it was a clear night (-32C), we didn't see the Aurora - but that's not Aurora River Camp's fault!
Truly the best glass igloo experience! My partner and I spent 3 nights here, during New Year’s Eve, and we had an incredible time!
The igloo is very warm (despite -22 outside) with heating, has a stove with essential utensils and even has a toilet. If you didn’t want to use the toilet, you can use the lounge toilets which are clean and have a shower. The igloo also has speakers with a great bass- perfect for New Year’s Eve celebrations.
The highlight was nature’s fireworks on New Year’s Eve… the northern lights. We were very lucky because we know it’s not a guarantee. So if you’re lucky enough you might get to see them too!
Tony made sure we were okay through out our stay, heating up the sauna and picking us up/ dropping us off at our next destination.
Thank you so much for the BEST stay Aurora RiverCamp.

Although there is no aurora due to big snow and cloudy, any other things are excellent!
Very good accomodation with nothern loght voews from room but just the issue is restroom being dry one and we have to go to a common toilet most of the time
