We have stayed at 3 hotels in Juneau and this was by far the best!
The staff on reception were friendly and welcoming, gave great recommendations for local estaurants and hikes. They have a small kitchen with complementary snacks and some basic breakfast items, along with board games and sofas.
We didn't use the hot tubs but they got rave reviews from other guests and we had robes in our rooms and umbrella hats for the Juneau rain- every detail had been thought through!

shuttle arrived at airport a few minutes after I called despite normal driver apparently calling in sick and the desk clerk who picked me up even dropped me at a local bar - very impressive service! this was my second stay in four days and just as good as first- nice large room with fridge & microwave and efficient heating- shuttle next morning worked well- thoroughly recommended (as is McGiveneys bar & restaurant which I frequented!)

Hi, the place was great and we would definitely stay again.
The only negative was communication.
After booking we were informed via Hotels.com that the desk is only manned until 4pm, and if we planned to arrive later we had to make prior arrangements with the hotel.
Despite a call, text and message we could not get a response.
However, we arrived at approximately midnight and was greeted at reception, so all was fine in the end. But it was stressful "not knowing"

I prefer to stay in historic hotels if at all possible, especially in state capitals and small towns. This place, as I expected, was getting dated and probably struggling a little to compete with newer hotels and their facilities. No matter, it was excellent so well done all at the Westmark Baronof!
