Clean room, free parking, great views over mountains

We stayed in the Rees for our last 2 nights in NZ, after a 3-week holiday touring the country, and enjoyed our time there. This was the only 5-star hotel we visited in during the holiday, and the lake view room was fantastic with good views from the balcony. Room and facilities was excellent, all staff (from reception to house keeping) very attentive and welcoming. The restaurant has received excellent reviews but I was surprised it was not larger or more lively. I think that many guests...

Great location, clean room and great staff

Clean and tidy. Lots of food options but note this is 15 mins from Queenstown and it at the airport

Beautiful view, high level finish in all areas. Shower and bathroom were incredible. Beds really comfortable. Top end kitchen. Only complaint would be that the noise from the flat above was not insulated against at all. This disrupted us on a few occasions.

Lovely apartment with everything we needed for a few nights stay! The area Was very quiet and it was a short downhill walk into Queenstown and to check in for all the activities we had booked. The apartment was spacious and airy. We left something behind when we left and the owners contacted us as soon as they discovered this and have offered to post the item to our home in the UK. Truly great service, and thank you again for sorting this out!! 😊

Location and view was amazing. Well maintained. Clean and neat house.

Clean, quiet and spacious room with helpful amenities of simple hob-freezer- washing and drying facilities. Super mountain views.

Beautiful, cosy but large resort. Had a great stay as the staff are super friendly and the facilities are great. The only thing that annoyed me was that they add a 7 NZD charge to each room service delivery! Besides that, a great stay and I would definitely go there again!

Great room - clean, well equipped and spacious. Good breakfast as well

The hotel is stunning perched in the ridge with amazing views. It’s a little out of town but accessible by uber and a regular bus service. Staff were amazing, food (especially breakfast was great) and quality of hotel amenities first class

Ideally situated as only a five minute walk to the centre but yet in a quiet area. Very comfortable with friendly owners who genuinely want you to enjoy your stay with them, and in Queenstown. A perfect place to stay.

A high quality quiet modern hotel within walking distance of the busy, noisy centre. Views from the bar/restaurant overlooking the lake are breathtaking. The bedroom was impeccably clean and comfortable. The best of all, however, are the staff who couldn’t help enough (thank you again Julia for working so hard to sort out our booking platform problem). We travel extensively and for us to recommend a hotel so highly is an exception.

What a superb place this is. From customer friendly staff throughout to the smallest details. Everything is carefully thought about, delivered to the highways standards, mindful of the environmental impact each service may have. Sustainable, tasty food, recycled products, nothing wasted without compromise on quality of product or service. We highly recommend Gibbston Valley. 10/10 all round.
