"Great host, Rose cares about her guests you can tell that right away. The room we stayed in was beautiful, the cleanest I think I’ve ever stayed in and it was fully stocked with soaps, coffee & even makeup wipes for my wife. Rose accommodated dietary restrictions for our breakfast no problem. The perfect place to stay for couples visiting Port Hope and looking for something a bit more special than a hotel. Summertime would be even better. "

"The first room that we were renting had ants. We had to change rooms at 11PM when we came back to the unit. We had to take a room with 2 double beds rather than the king bed that we paid for."

"This hotel bills itself as a “Boutique Hotel” but it seemed like a kitschy way of explaining why the property was frozen in the 80’s. My room (king suite) was very spacious, but had many issues: crumpled tissues and other small litter left on the floor, small blood stains on the bed sheet, insufficient towels, stopper for tub did not work. These all can be put down to lack of attention by cleaning staff. Fortunately the duty staff was excellent in resolving all the issues and even offered to...

"No one mentioned there was a laundry room when I checked in. I would have liked to have known that as this location was in the middle of my trip. I only discovered the Guest Laundry minutes before I checked out. Too late to actually use it. Otherwise the staff was very kind and pleasant."
