"The staff in the restaurant and pool weren’t very proactive. The service was good but very slow and it felt like there was only 1 staff member at breakfast and dinner who knew what to do whilst they others were very nervous and timid and unable to act proactively. The room was lovely and everything I hope for buy taps and toilet flush had seen better days - this was in the main house."

"I stayed while the hotel was undergoing renovation (the restaurant). It was nevertheless quiet, I had an excellent salad and delicious breads with room service, the staff was very warm and friendly and went out of their ways to help. They even allowed me to check in hours early! The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning very strong (could be adjusted in the room exactly to my liking) while it was very hot outside in July. Excellent! "Everything was lovely, especially the staff! In the middle of a heatwave, AC would have been nice but that’s Mother Natures fault. Food was excellent, parking was easy and the surroundings were beautiful! I definitely recommend for a taste of old world charm."

"On arrival, staff were informative and helpful. Room was extremly small (as expected) but fine for 1 night. Plenty of dust but its because everything is black so even if you have just cleaned, it looks dusty. Drinks and pool area nice, not the cheapest but acceptable. Food in thai was nice and didnt have to wait very long. Room and various areas of the hotel are in need of fixing (cracked mirrors, sinks etc) the property design is so high mai tence its almost impossible to keep this interior...
