Everything is great, except the rooms didn’t have temperature control or air conditioning. When I checked with the reception the staff immediately got me a fan.

Liked: Staff & service, amenities
Check in was easy and fast. The desk staff were very nice and helpful. There was a bad smell in the main hallway down to the room elevators, I’m not sure what caused that but it was pretty bad. Our room was pretty clean. The breakfast is expensive but there’s quite a selection. There needs to be more than just one coffee machine, however. The parking garage is a nightmare! Tiny spaces, tight corners, and you had to go through two doors to get to the elevator. Those doors should be changed to automatic opening doors.
We explicit asked for two connecting rooms which were confirmed at reservation and on the day in the reception. We booked Kieler Rooms as asked. We did not get it and after quite reluctant service at the elderly male receptionist we ended after long talks to get two next to each others which didn’t solve the ask. In general a nice hotel with a great breakfast.
Property and staff were amazing !! Food , accommodations and transport were great. Unfortunately when it came down to the people in public in general the people of Germany were extremely un helpful, they seem to basically not have time to even point the right way. I have traveled the work mostly on work time or military and Germany is a country I will never return to .. so sad. But what a beautiful country ….sorry !!!!!!
As a Hard core Road warrior (+45 yrs) I can definitely say this is the BEST place in North Deutschland. I’ve recently stayed in 5 star all over the place, heck, I dream Mars/Jupiter/Saturn (definitely not PLUTO) but Der Steigeberg
