"The room wasn't ready when we arrived so we had to wait 90 minutes from about 2pm to 3:30. The room was clean, but dated with stains on the carpet with a splitting seam in one corner, quite a bit of silicone caulking in the bathroom which had a very small shower stall for a suite. Biggest issue was finding the toilet lid up and urine in the toilet when we returned to the room after it had been cleaned. We always put the lid down and flush so someone else had used the toilet. "We had a great stay at the Palm (1 night). Location is excellent, right along the main street facing the water. Several restaurants and shops nearby (including restaurant and bar in the Palm). Nearby activities such as the walk around and up the little mountain, and strolling the promenade. Was about a 10 minute walk from the train station. Room was clean and spacious. The walk in shower was lovely. In the intro email from the Palm they noted it can be loud some nights due to the bar, but we...

"The room was okay, it had a bad smell (I think it was the carpet) but we got used to it. There was only bath towels, no hand towels. The view was amazing. The restaurant downstairs was amazing. We did not spend a lot of time in the hotel, and more in the surrounding area, so that smell did not take the score down too low :)"

"It is a decent clean hotel, with some rooms having a magnificent sea view. Floor plan is a little bit like a labyrinth and needs some orientation skills to get to your room. Elevators pop up in different corners and take you to different locations. My room was comfortable, with good blackouts and fresh clean bathroom. Breakfast was decent even with a limited variety, restaurant staff was particularly helpful and amiable. Overall, I enjoyed my experience but would prefer if it cost a little less."

"It would have been good if in the Advert it explained that there is a large deposit that has to be paid upfront, more than the cost of 1 night. The apartment I stayed in was dated. The door trims were coming off, the wardrobe doors were off the runners (sliderobes) and the TV didn't produce any sound. It could use an update."
