"We came out for our anniversary and had a wonderful time! The sauna and cold plunges were being repaired, which was disappointing, but understandable to service them in the off season. It was quiet and very relaxing and our text to the concierge was very quick!"

"The rooms had been vlean, the staff was friendly. It is an older property which has been renovated to its best functionality. The soap/lotion/shampoo dispensers had all the same product in it not sure what it was"

"I always worry about booking a place that isn't run by a Superhost, or a hotel. You never know what you walking into, and whether there is anyone who can help. We arrived at 6:30pm. Lots of day light left, so no issues finding the place, or getting in. The WiFi was down, and we needed a blanket. Called the support phone number at 7pm. The answering service took a message. At 9am the next day (after we'd left, and been on the road for an hour) we got a text asking if we still needed help....

"This is our second time staying at John Yancy. Its nothing fancy but it has a great breakfast with a beautiful gazebo to eat at if you choose. Staff is nice. My biggest complaint was the wifi connection at night. It kept buffering or disconnecting which made it frustrating with little ones. "

"It has a small Continental breakfast, at 5pm they put out free cookies and popcorn on a first come first serve basis. The pool is nice and they have plenty of family friendly activities. Also walking distance to the beach. Definitely would go again."

"I took my 3 kids for a few days over spring break. It was an easy and beautiful path up to the beach. The indoor pool and indoor hot tub was a life saver as it was too cold to do anything else outside most of the time we were there. The front desk staff were super nice and the hotel continental breakfast was so convenient. "

"Barking dogs woke us up before 6 am. Dogs barking a lot at other times. Breakfast wasn't much. Property was ok and rooms were pretty clean overall. Staff was very helpful and friendly."

"Parking was good, AC worked good and Heat but the air purifier didn't work. Still was a great stay and will be back. "

"The floor in the room was sticky to walk on if walking in socks they werevery dirty after walking in the room. The room had a funky smell in it as well. I bought lysol and sprayed all over all surfaces and beds helped some. Have stayed here a few years ago and the hotel has seemed to go down hill."
