"I had booked two rooms, both with a king sized bed. My in-laws room had a king sized bed; however, our room had a double. I immediately went back to the desk and showed my reservation and was told that, "In Europe, king sized beds are smaller. Your room has a king sized bed"... Now, this may not seem like a big deal, but when you're husband is a very active sleeper and you are both tall, a double bed is not at all how you want to spend your dream vacation nights. "The Skeffington Arms Hotel was a perfect place for our stay in Galway. The hotel is centrally located making seeing the city easy. Offsite parking is close by and the city is very walkable. The hotel is well maintained and quaint. The bar/lounge next door has great food and music. Very happy with this location."

"The staff were very friendly and the location in the Latin Quarter makes everything walkable. However, it's incredibly noisy! The music, shouting, singing and conversations go on until at least 300am! Also we got a larger room with 2 beds, but it was only a full with a bunk on top. There was no head room and a slippery, metal ladder. Was not what we expected."
