"The room was pretty clean the staff was great, the problem was the room doesn’t have real air conditioning they use a swamp cooler that runs water over fins and a fan blows air through it this makes the room very moist and nothing dries out there is also some mold on the ceiling. It caused sinus problems for the entire time I was there."

"Centara Hua Hin is just not the same nice place anymore that it used to be. We’ve stayed here numerous times since 1980/81 when it was still the Railway Hotel. These days it appears to be a bit too money-hungry. The main opportunity for improvement at this point is, in my opinion, to be honest with the guests and notify them in advance that there is a major construction project going on which eliminates the nicest pool and guests have to look at an ugly temporary wall instead. Offering rooms at discounted prices during the construction process would be another appropriate option. Because of these drawbacks it was probably our last stay at Centara"

"Needs updating badly, more like 4*. Some staff were attentive but overall not as good as other Thai hotels we have stayed in. eg. Anantara and Sheraton, both in Hua Hin. We experienced a poor check in at 11.30pm after a 2 day journey with no sleep. No welcome drink or wet towels etc. Plus side, pool was great. Wouldn’t stay there again "
